The Show Must Go-On

There was an amatuer talent show back in the 70's that has seen many resurections - most all were unsuccessful. The idea was to dismiss the talent by pounding a large hanging metal disk with a mallet ( hence the name of the show ).

In order to attempt to squeeze one more royality from this show the heirs of the originator just tried to sell it to China, but frankly they would not buy it.

The Chinese Government does not like Failin' Gongs.

If a certain water bird were to make a failed appearance on that Chinese TV show, might they give it a fowl loon gong?
