I was diagnosed on May 17 with stage four lung cancer and have been a bit preoccupied. I am not wishing to initiate conversation here on this list about this but figured I’d give you some context because most of what I will be posting is related directly to my current struggles.] I hope you’ll not find me at fault If my lim’rick production should halt For I am, just at present In condition unpleasant As my body is under assault There are puns in my head by the score And they still are quite tough to ignore But since this has occurred I have done so. Absurd! A practice I greatly deplore Oh gawd! This is worse than I thought All my verses will soon be for naught If I don’t deploy pun How’ll you know when I’m done?
