Gary Hallock Update

bill crider

When I visited with Gary a few days ago, I was very disconcerted - to the point where I didn't even post an update. He was very 'out of it.' But it turns out it was due to overmedication, and he is doing much better!
I visited with him in the hospital this morning, and he is doing much better! They have his meds in much better control. He is alert and cheerful. We were even able to engage in some punslinging together.
Part of his good spirits are probably attributed to his brothers and sons all being in town to visit with him. Family is very important!
Today he is scheduled again to get a feeding tube to replace the one they currently have in his nose. He is also scheduled to get a chemo port installed so he can start chemotherapy.
If that all goes well, he might go home tomorrow and start chemo within a few days.
If you have his direct email or are facebook friends with him, please continue to contact him with encouragement (the punnier the better!) via those methods.
Regards,
billcrider
