#RogueRiddle 1100 Game Shows Again, But Easier #RogueRiddle

bill crider

Sorry for no warning. My schedule today requires me to work outdoors, so only limited time on the computer.
This Rogue is about game shows, but not the names of the game shows. You'll need to know a little bit of common knowledge about a few popular game shows, but you can probably get the riddles just by reading the limericks.
Don't Reply All! Send your answers to bill.crider at gmail.com.
******************************************
1.
Alec, the late game show scion
Gave the hint "it lacks an electron"
  The game player lost
  At considerable cost
Didn't answer in the form of blank blank

2.
Monty was no matador
Host of game show we all adore
  He shot lots of bull
But when time slot was full
He urged players to just blank

3.
Pat and Vanna were not to blame
Contestant lost all the same
  She spun the big wheel
  Her answer was real
But not blank with rules of the game

4.
Steve Harvey was not in the mood
to settle his own family's feud
  This Thanksgiving riot
  He can never quiet
Over what is the best holiday blank

5.
When Regis' game show did end
Kathy Lee a condolence did send
  But he never called back
  Compassion did lack
'Cause he's just a blank blank

some Spin on the Rogue

I had 'reely" planned some good clues for the Wheel of Fortune, but I took a vowel never to use letter counts.

I'll put a spin on Bill getting this almost perfectly on his first guess

There were 4 Ms, 8 As, and 13 Es

PUNY,

We have a sweep. Bill Crider solved all the riddles to claim this weeks rogue. Bill actually did the complete run in two separate guesses after a very close first guess.  Remember every guess gets a clue and Bill took a clue and went with the theme - GAME SHOWS!

His correct answers are filled in CAPS in the BLANKS of the riddle below:

All,
Well, it has been 12 hours and zero guesses - I guess you are stumped with this game. So to get you in the game I will provide some give away clues I will call "game changers".

In the rogue below in CAPs are the solutions to parts of some of the riddle. I'm not gaming you.

Re: We have a winner for Rogue Riddle 1099

Lars Hanson

Hi, Merk,

    No worries!  Glad to help.

To check in your account, simply go to:

 groups.io

From there you can see which of your e-mails you are signed up with.

Also, in Yes it I have had problems replying to you via e-mail because your e-mail rejects my e-mails.  (Right now this is going okay — no problems in that area.)

However, if your e-mail application is rejecting e-mails from PUNY, or perhaps putting them into a Junk folder or a Spam folder, that could be the reason  you are not seeing PUNY or Limerick e-mails.  You might want to check those folders in your mail application.

See if any of that helps.

    Aloha,

        Lars

Thanks for all the help this week, and maybe now, too.
